Course Overview
The BTEC level 1/2 first certificate in sport is a one year programme. The course aims to add breadth to students’ knowledge and understanding of the sport sector as part of their career progression plans. It gives students the opportunity to progress to a BTEC Level 3 programme or into employment in a wide range of job roles across the sport sector. As well as gaining a recognised qualification, students play football 3 times a week representing Bristol City Robins Foundation in English Football Leagues. As part of the programme, students access work experience opportunities through our coaching provision in schools, holiday camps and on BCFC match days. Trips are organised for students to visit other premier league stadiums, as well as international trips abroad to Portugal and Europe.
