Pupil Premium at Digitech Studio School
At Digitech Studio School we have high aspirations and expectations for our students and we believe that no child should be left behind regardless of their background. We strongly believe that through hard work, commitment to learning and continually raising aspirations we can make the difference between different rates of success with students at our school.
We are determined to ensure that our students are given every chance to realise their full potential. Pupil premium funding, along with allocations made from the school’s own budget, will help ensure this money is spent to maximum effect.
Pupil premium is additional funding to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers for publicly funded schools in England.
Pupil Premium Spending:
Our pupil premium money has been used to provide a range of additional support for our students and these interventions, along with quality first teaching, have started to have a positive impact on children’s attainment and self-belief.
Through targeted interventions we are working hard to eliminate barriers to learning and progress which are identified in our pupil premium proposal.
Targeted support is being provided through one-to-one and small group tuition in across the school. Senior leaders and personal coaches also provide additional support through interventions/targeted tutorials. These interventions support students in knowing where they are and what they need to do to improve their work (closing the gaps).
“It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium, allocated to schools per FSM pupil, is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.” (Source – DfE website)
