Work placements are a key element of the Digitech experience. Students have the opportunity to combine academic and vocational qualifications with real life work experience and broaden their skills. A work placement offers students the opportunity to understand how to conduct themselves in the work place, understanding the importance of punctuality, office etiquette, how to answer the telephone, how to present themselves and many other important skills. Additionally, students have the chance to gain valuable experience by spending time working for an employer and carrying out duties or tasks as any other employee of the company would and realising their own contributions. They can use this experience within their studies and beyond, when applying for jobs, universities and attending interviews.

Year 10 students will go out on work experience during weeks commencing, 5th February and week commencing 25th June 2018.

Year 11 students will have the opportunity to go out on work experience following their exams. This will be the week commencing 25th June 2018. We encourage students to take up this opportunity or to do the NCS programme.

Year 12 students will have a one-week placement week commencing, 5th February and week commencing 25th June 2018 but are also encouraged to take on WEX that fits around their timetable. Year 12 students arrange this themselves with support from Work Experience Coordinator.

Year 13 students arrange their own appropriate work experience placements with support from their Work Experience Coordinator.
